In Memoriam: Will Lindus
Will Lindus, who passed away last week after a long and courageous battle with cancer, was more than a leader to this organization. He was a force, a friend, and a fixture in the veterinary business community, and his absence will be felt deeply.
Will brought over 17 years of expertise in operations management to everything he did, including his work with VetPartners. As our president, he led with intention, championed the growth of our members, and gave generously of his time, his knowledge, and his enthusiasm. He was a contributor to several veterinary publications (including a recent textbook), a podcast guest, and a supportive colleague whose work will continue to help our industry.
But Will was also so much more than his professional accomplishments. He was an animal lover, a film fanatic, a gamer, a blogger, a podcaster, and a film festival programmer who believed that a person is defined by their passions as much as their profession.
VetPartners is a better organization because Will Lindus was part of it. We are grateful for every meeting, every conversation, every moment he invested in this community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his partner and to all who loved him.
Will, we miss you more than words can say.
Dear VetPartners Members,
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of our President, Will Lindus. Will passed away yesterday after nearly 18 months of battling pancreatic cancer with extraordinary courage and grace.
Those of us who knew Will well know that he faced this illness the same way he approached everything in his life — with quiet strength and unwavering commitment to others. Even through his most difficult days, Will continued to show up for this organization and for the people in it. He was hardworking, diplomatic, and genuinely kind. He gave generously of himself, consistently placing the needs of our members and the mission of VetPartners ahead of his own.
We have truly lost one of the best.
Please hold Will’s family and loved ones in your thoughts.
Sarah Rumple Mahan
Immediate Past President
