THE FIFTH is excited to announce the addition of guitarist Reid Rogers to the band. Reid is a well known and respected musician in the Southeastern music scene and beyond. Reids past projects include Knightmare, Salvacion and Crystal Spiders. Reids playing can be described as Soulful, Southern Fueled Sledgehammer. His dynamic playing style and stage presence is a perfect fit for the band and we're excited to welcome him to the THE FIFTH Family!!! We are alive. Slightly battered and a bit bruised, but still alive and breathing. There was incredible anticipation and excitement before the release of "We Are One". Years of building momentum, tons of hard work and a few lucky breaks, put the band on the threshold of real success. And just like with life, when things are going the best, sometimes something unexpected and devastating happens.

Having someone walk away from something that so many people, including themselves, put their blood, sweat and tears into was literally a gut punch. I mean, the week the new record drops, suddenly, someone you thought was a brother, a partner and a friend steals everyone's moment of joy. It cut to the bone. We were dead in the water before we even got to swim.

With the best of intentions and a overwhelming desire to not let this stop us. We immediately made moves to keep pushing forward. But distance, changing situations and career trajectories made us reevaluate our decision and with love we decided to change course and forge in a new direction.

It is time to be reborn. Revived and rejuvenated. It's time to reinvent who and what we are. And the announcement of who will spearhead this new era with the band will soon be made.

On behalf of Gary and Jake we want to thank you for your continued support. We've been a bit lost, but we are finding our way back home.

We regret to announce that we have to postpone our upcoming show at The Rooster this Friday night. Sadly, our guitarist is dealing with the cancelation and postponement of his flights to and from North Carolina because of the ongoing issues with the Government Shutdown and air travel in the United States due TSA staffing issues and reducing the number of flights. We want to apologize to The Rooster and our friends in Grindhouse and of course our friends and fans that were planning on attending.

This is literally the FIRST time we've had to cancel a date and it's totally out of hands. We're so sorry...
