Home. Healing. Restediting. 🤍

Late Tuesday afternoon, I was finally released from the hospital and able to come home after my battle with severe double pneumonia and asthma complications.

Recovery is still very much underway, and I’m taking things one day at a time. My lungs are healing, my energy is slowly returning, and for now, my focus is on rest, breathing, and following my doctors’ instructions.

That said, I wanted to reassure you that everything remains on track. I may not be back to full speed yet, but I am officially in my “restediting” era—spending short periods of time editing between lots of rest, hydration, and recovery.

To all of my couples: your galleries will still be delivered within the timeframe I originally promised you. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, your prayers, and the countless messages checking in on me. They have meant more than I can adequately express.

For now, you’ll find me curled up on the couch with my laptop, my pups nearby, editing beautiful memories while giving my body the time it needs to heal.

Thank you for being here with me through this season. I can’t wait to be fully back on my feet and doing what I love most.

A few months ago, my husband and I were hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains when I stopped to take this photo.

At the time, it was simply a beautiful autumn scene. Today, it feels like a reminder.

The path ahead isn’t always clear. Sometimes there are unexpected obstacles, difficult seasons, and stretches of the journey that require you to slow down and trust the process.

As many of you know, I’m still in the hospital recovering from severe double pneumonia and an asthma exacerbation. Yesterday, my medical team performed a bronchoscopy to better understand why my lungs have been struggling to heal. They found significant inflammation throughout my bronchial tree and collected cultures that are now being tested. We’re currently waiting for those results and hoping they provide more answers and direction for treatment.

While I wish I had a clearer timeline for recovery, I’ve learned over the past week that healing isn’t something that can be rushed. Right now, my focus remains on resting, healing, and taking one day at a time.

To my couples, clients, friends, and family—thank you. Your prayers, messages, and encouragement have carried me through some very difficult days. I have read every message, even when I haven’t had the energy to respond.

For my couples awaiting galleries and those with upcoming weddings, please know that you remain on my heart. My goal is still to remain on track with deliveries, but for the moment, my priority is allowing my body the time it needs to recover so I can return and serve you with the care and experience you deserve.

For today’s wedding, I stand on the other side of the camera as the Mother of the Bride. Today is a bitter sweet day. Happy Wedding Day to my beautiful daughter and her fiancé! I love you to the moon and back Baby Girl! 🫶🏻

25 years with you.

It feels both tender and surreal to say that out loud.

We’ve grown up together… built a life together… and created something that feels steady, easy, and deeply ours. Not because everything was perfect—but because loving you has always felt like home.

When I look back at these photos, I see two people at the very beginning—full of hope, not yet knowing just how beautiful life would become side by side.

And here we are.

Still laughing.
Still choosing each other.
Still finding joy in the everyday moments that matter most.

That’s the kind of love I hold close. The kind that feels natural, grounded, and lasting in all the best ways.

It’s also the kind of love I see in so many of my couples—the quiet, meaningful connection that only deepens with time.

And I think that’s why this work means so much to me… because I know what these moments grow into.
