Growing up I was always taught that America was a beautiful melting pot of different cultures and different types of people. It was a place of opportunity, a place where ANYONE could live the American dream. I remember feeling lucky to live in such a place.

The older I got the more I realized that this wasn’t the case. We like to pretend our country is a place where our differences are celebrated but instead it is quite the opposite.

No matter skin color, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or culture we are all human and we all deserve equal rights.

That little gold necklace you see, yeah I never take it off. My friend Justine, owner of hand stamped it for me back in December and I haven’t taken it off since (except to take the next photo you see in this slide 😂). She also created this adorable propagation station that my plant loving self absolutely needed 🌿

She went full time with her small business not too long ago and she has been busting her ass ever since, but her awesomeness doesn’t stop there. She makes a big effort to support other small businesses and has shown my own shop support countless times.

She’s a huge believer in empowering women and even started the Calling All Badasses headshot event I helped photograph last year (and I obviously had to include a pic 😉).

Basically what I’m saying is, if you haven’t already given her a follow - do it now. And check out her shop while you’re at it 😊
