Hope everyone had a ❤️lovely❤️ Valentine’s Day! While I’ve always kinda felt these holidays are commercially driven and super gimmicky, doesn’t stop me from eating👏it👏up👏

Why? Because it’s a fun opportunity to express love, gratitude, and joy to your loved ones. The world can be very grim, so you have to create your happy moments. And mine lately happens to be at eating ice cream and watching my cow friends.

It’s not a boulder! It’s a rock! 🥲 Unlocking my final form as a mountain woman sunning herself on a rock in a river.
🍺 is undoubtedly one of the most unique breweries I’ve seen to date in NC, with English style beers and situated right on the French Broad river. You can sit outside and soak it all in on the upper or lower decks, or climb out on a rock (carefully) as the river rushes around you. Just a few doors down from so you can grab a beer after your hike. What a weekend!

But seriously, my family and I adore this spot. We aim for Wednesday’s since that when they make ropa vieja (my FAV) sandwiches called “sloppy papi” along with with a cortadito or cafe con leche. Never forget croquetas, pastelitos, or tostones. To be safe order one of everything and just feast, you’ll thank me later.
