Audio-video recaps do more than show the absent the happenings of missed events. They can literally be immortalizing while raising awareness to critical issues and events. For that, we offer sincere thanks to a technological media bad ass; Bobby Kerns Jr of Bobby Kerns Productions We had a great time and Bobby (along with our photographer Jay Was) captured it all…beautifully and with focused, loving intent. Enjoy!

And remember; there’s power in Knowing. So, get tested and find care.

We’re rebranding soon. Stick around. ❤️

NAACP Juneteenth Celebration

Pride Month is here so I created these Do’s and Don’t’s to help you celebrate with love and respect. Let’s get Smarter in Seconds!

⛔️ Don’t forget that the first Pride was a commemoration of the Stonewall uprising for liberation. Try to incorporate these themes into your Pride celebration because the struggle for justice continues.

✅ Do remember that you don’t have to be “out” to celebrate Pride.

⛔️ Don’t make assumptions. If you see a person or a couple at Pride who you don’t think belongs there—check yourself. “Gaydar” doesn’t exist and you can’t tell someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity by looking at them.

✅ Do buy directly from LGBTQ+ owned businesses like @fempowerbeauty which I co-own with @thelipsticklesbians 💋 I also love @tomboyx and @megemikoart.

⛔️ Don’t expect everyone’s Pride month to look just like yours.

✅ Do study and discuss LGBTQ+ history. @allstorabooks has countless recommendations to help you get started or you can watch @ericcervini’s Book of Q***r!

✅ Do organize spaces that are inclusive, accessible, and sober-friendly. All members of the LGBTQ+ community should be able to feel safe and welcome at Pride.

⛔️ Don’t stop at the end of the month. Our community exists year-round. Not just during Pride month.
