Representation within our communities is vital to the development of identity, confidence, and possibility. When young people see voices and experiences that reflect their own, it expands their sense of what is possible.

Today, I’m honored to lend my voice to the Black Excellence Showcase, presented by the Black Student Union of Fuquay Varina High School, this Friday. I look forward to sharing in an evening that celebrates culture, creativity, and community. 1=2

To be recognized by a reputable, international, and organized film festival is profoundly affirming.
