Description:

Following all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Position requires a lot of constant vending, standing, and heavy lifting for a long period of time.
Assist in preparing merchandise for loading and unloading trucks and containers

Receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory
Physically lifting and sorting through various incoming and outgoing products/Material

Responsibilities may include assisting with the delivery of materials to customers or job sites and delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at job sites as assigned.

Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs with assistance

Previous warehouse or construction experience is preferred
Knowledge in all applicable building material products is preferred

Position hours will be Mon- Fri from 2:00pm-10:30pm. This position will qualify for a $2.00/hr. shift differential.

Role Purpose:

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused. We move products that people need and want. At DHL, YOU will be an essential part of everyday life.

Key Accountabilities:

Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Assist in physical inventories.
Complete daily inspection of equipment.
Required Education and Experience:

Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
Six months warehouse experience, preferred
Six months forklift operation experience

Role Purpose:

The primary duty of this position is to expedite transactions through the warehouse management system. Taskers provide information and resolve issues with customers, carriers, and warehouse associates. The role may support the outbound, inbound or parcel functions.

Key Accountabilities:

Plan, allocate, pick, manifest, and close daily waves of orders.
Understand and utilize system screens to monitor and move workload through the system.
Work closely with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts and damages causing inventory issues.
Manage the scheduling of inbound carriers and the outbound shipping schedule by updating appropriate communication methods.
Generate and utilize system reports and audit sheets to evaluate the shift progress.
Communicate directly with the carrier(s) to insure seamless physical and systematic transactions.
Oversee exchange of parcel shipments from shipping dock to carrier’s truck.
Resolve data transmission failures/errors with customer’s IT and procurement teams.
Interface with IT contacts in event of system-related barriers.
Insure complete communication for turn of shift.
Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Six months warehouse experience, preferred
0-1 years experience in data entry and/or dispatch, preferred
Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Excel, preferred

Essential Job Functions:

Assist with Install of HVAC systems and ducting, includes new installation and replacement of existing systems.
Work alongside the construction crew on all installations, and work within the construction schedules agreed upon.
Responsible for assisting timely, quality, and correct installation.
Assist with setting ventilation, air conditioning, and environmental control equipment into place.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers as well as those contacted in the course of work.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Able to work overtime

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School diploma
At least 1 years of overall HVAC professional experience preferred, but will train
Excellent Communication Skills
Good working knowledge of materials, and operation and maintenance of specialty equipment utilized for the installation of these materials
Must have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities. Must have good communication and presentation skills
Must be able to work on a construction site
