I am truly humbled to have received endorsements from organizations that support progressive causes, affordable housing, multi-modal transportation, and diversity on the City Council.

Today we honor - the anniversary of the day in which the last slaves were freed in America.

I spent my afternoon touring the City of Raleigh's Pope House Museum, learning about the life and legacy of one of the first African American doctors in North Carolina, Dr. Manassa Thomas Pope.

I urge everyone to take the time to visit and/or learn about Dr. Pope and the many other influential African Americans of our past! (Admittance to the Pope House Museum is free)

Had lunch at Spring Forest Road Park and enjoyed the slightly cooler weather today. Huge thanks to Lee's Kitchen for the great food - I'll be sure to come back for more!

Although Lee's Kitchen is not participating in this year's Triangle Restaurant Week, we need to make sure we support all locally-owned restaurants/businesses in Raleigh no matter what week it is.

Come celebrate my 21st birthday and enjoy live music from local bands, food, and drinks! If elected, I would be the youngest council member to serve in the history of the Raleigh City Council. Join me at Trophy Brewing on Maywood so we can show young people the value of being involved in local politics!

We recently held our official campaign kickoff last March. We had a wonderful turnout with 60+ people in attendance and managed to raise over $10,000! Thank you to everyone who continues to support my campaign. I am confident that with due diligence and determination, we will be successful on Election Day (Nov. 8th, 2022)!

Tuesday, the City Council voted (7-1) to approve the removal of parking minimums in Raleigh. I support this decision because it will:

✅ Encourage multi-modal transportation options

✅ Help protect our environment

✅ Bring affordable housing and reduce the cost of rent

It’s time to rethink parking across Raleigh and usher in ideas that will encourage accessible, equitable, affordable, and responsible growth. This is merely one piece to the puzzle - we still have much to achieve.

Let’s talk…Environment:

This month, we decided to focus on addressing my stance on the environment. Climate change is a real threat to our generation, and will continue to be a threat to future generations unless we take immediate action.

If elected, I will work to ensure a Raleigh that is 100% carbon neutral by 2050. A greener Raleigh is a better Raleigh for ALL.

Thank you, Raleigh! Since we started our campaign, you've donated over $12,500 to help us accomplish our goals. That's just under the halfway point of our First Quarter goal of $30,000! If you'd like to donate to our campaign and assist us in the fight for affordable housing, reforming our infrastructure/transportation systems, and small business' success, please visit the link in our bio!

Each month, we will be focusing on a different issue that impacts you and the City of Raleigh. This month’s topic is Transportation! Whether you drive, bike, skateboard, or ride the bus, we want to talk to you about improving the way you get around!

What is the cost of traffic in Raleigh? Sitting in your car costs you more than you think! Here are some facts about how traffic costs you and the City of Raleigh time, money, and resources.
Our campaign is dedicated to reducing traffic and promoting cleaner public transportation methods. No matter how you get around, it should always be safe, accessible, reliable, and affordable.

Let’s talk…Transportation:

From the time it takes from Northeast Raleigh to City Hall on the city bus, one could drive from Raleigh to Wilmington. This is absurd - no one who rides the bus should be facing such a long commute. Commute times like these are why we need comprehensive, effective reform NOW.

As a member of the Raleigh City Council, I will strive to reduce traffic and commute times by enabling different transit options in our community.
My priority is a safe, efficient, and affordable commute for ALL.

Together, we can help our transportation system, both public and private, to reach its full potential.
