Got a new Rhyme Book. Back to my roots of writing not typing.
Finishing up my 11th project. And got another in the works.
Future focused on using my gifts and my talents again.

A Work Doodle Message

PEEP THE STORY:
After my 2nd album in 2011 came out (15 years ago this March!!) my producer, Billy, linked me with who knew El.

Pic 2: We all did a song together and shot the music video for it (now lost and gone and all I have is this photo haha) but we drove up from VA to NJ for the day and I met the legend I looked up to for years.

Pic 3: When we shot the video I brought my copy of RelaxRelateRelease to have him sign it and still have it! So, I hit El up to sign me the new re-release of his 2011 album The Unusual… and he remembered me and that day too! Honored doesn’t even described that moment.

So, stay tuned because I asked him to do another track collab with me soon and what a way to see things come full circle again. El Da Sensei is truly a genuine person and talented beyond measure. Even after all this time … I’m still a fan!

It’s Dilla Day. And while I was stationed in Japan I wrote and recorded an homage mixtape to his Dilla Love Japan album called… well, B.Done Love Japan 😂🫡 May he rest in beats. Legends never die.

(Maybe one day you all will listen and celebrate my music when I pass on from this world 🤷🏻‍♂️✌🏼💌)

I took a week off. Didn’t go anywhere. And it was GLORIOUS. Needed. We aren’t made to live to work. And when we do vacation we don’t always have to be going somewhere. I had me time. Took care of me. Relaxed. Did things that needed to be done around the house. And simply recharged. Back to the routine tomorrow tho. And maybe next vacation will actually be some type of a getaway… but if it’s not to a destination, it’ll still be perfect 😂🤪✌🏼

Just gotta say: I’m proud of this track that produced and I created and how it finally came together. Since I heard the track “Save the Day” back in early 2000’s and he said “Silver surfing through the galaxy/ battling whack emcees” I always imagined sampling the phrase somehow. (Shouts to for the cuts and executing my vision!) Then I asked someone I always wanted to work with if he’d be down for it. None other than the legendary of the Visionaries!! Bucket list dream for me all around. Go give it a listen today. Thanks.
