Uncapped Calligraphy and Designs

I am a firm believer that God uses seasons in our life to grow our faith and glorify Him more. As I've graduated, started a full-time job, and look into entering a new season of marriage, I am faced with decisions on how best to glorify God in my life. With that said, I have made the difficult (and I can't stress that enough) decision to close Uncapped Calligraphy and Designs. I say that this is not goodbye, but a see ya later because my dream is to re-open our doors one day, if I have the opportunity to stay at home with our future family.

When I look back, I can see how God used this business in the college season of my life. As I look ahead, I know He has great plans for me and I've had to evaluate where Uncapped Calligraphy fits in His plan. I've had to reevaluate my time and overall priorities in life. In this new season of life, I prioritize investing more time in building a work-life balance and especially in building a marriage. I would rather glorify God and serve others well by doing my work and marriage well, then not glorify Him by "doing it all" and serving haphazardly.

With all of that said, your support over the past three years has meant the world to me. With every like, comment, encouraging word, and order, I have felt nothing but love and support in this business and I can't thank you enough for pouring into me through this business. I am encouraged as I look back at all the opportunities that God gave Uncapped Calligraphy and me to serve those in the community around us. In our time, we have served over 400 customers, gained over 2000 new friends on social media, worked with five retail friends around NC, left our mark in 24/50 states, created over 30 products.

This is just a snapshot of the impact that Uncapped Calligraphy has made in our local community, but we couldn't have done it without you and your constant support. All in all, to God be the glory for the talent and passion He put in me to start this business, for the success He has created it to be, and for the many lessons that I have learned that increased my faith in Him along the way.

What are some of your favorite things? Do we have any in common?

Do certain foods remind you of memories? For me, ice cream reminds me of college. One of the perks of going to a school with an amazing agriculture program is that they make their own ice cream, . 🙌🏻 Between you and me, I could take down a whole pint of their mint chocolate chip in under an hour, but who's counting?

I am a firm believer that ice cream is appropriate anytime; on the 10 degree days and the 100 degree days. And sure, it can be therapeutic sometimes too. Tell me in the comments below, what is your favorite ice cream flavor?👇🏻

How are we on year three already? Time flies! There was no doubt some aspects of "terrible twos" thanks to a pandemic, but our second year was so sweet with many personal celebrations in my life, new client projects, and especially the support and encouragement of all of our customers and followers. We truly thrived and grew in more ways than I could have imagined and for that I am so thankful.

Each birthday for Uncapped Calligraphy holds a special place in my heart because on June 1, 2018 my dream of being an entrepreneur became a reality. I am so thankful for this season of life to get to serve others with the gifts that God has given me. Because of this, I can't wait to see how Uncapped Calligraphy continues to grow and help others celebrate all their seasons of life with our products and services in the coming year.

I haven't posted in awhile about my wedding, but I'm fully in the little detail phase of wedding planning now. One of the things that I've been working on is drawing a digital version of my venue . More to come on how I will incorporate this into my big day!

Did you know that our lighthouse design wasn't originally intended for journals? My mom is a Christian fiction author and I drew the lighthouse design for stationary to go along with her book "A Vast and Gracious Tide."
