Since 2014, April Alvey has proudly called Charleston home, growing both personally and professionally along the way. Since September 2025, she has been working as a Perfusion Assistant at MUSC, gaining valuable hands-on experience as she pursues her goal of becoming a perfusionist.

April is passionate about continuous learning and enjoys exploring new skills and ideas whenever she can. Outside of work, she loves reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her two dogs — including one who is deaf and has brought a unique and rewarding perspective to her life. 🐾
