Meet Nate Hulstedt, Stark Development’s North Carolina Production Manager:

With 16 years of experience in construction, Nate Hulstedt serves as a Project Manager at Stark Development, bringing a hands-on, collaborative approach to every project. Inspired early on by his father’s love of building, Nate built a strong foundation in the industry through roles at Warner Contracting, where he worked as a Production Manager, Onsite Supervisor, and General Manager. At Stark Development, he helps plan upcoming project phases, solves day-to-day challenges, supports bidding efforts, and manages onsite operations to keep projects moving forward. He takes particular pride in complex builds such as the recording studio, where detailed coordination played a key role in its success. Outside of work, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports—especially disc golf—and supporting his community through Life Springs Church and a local 4-H chapter.

This week we completed an electrical walk-through with Dr. Megan DeSimone at her new dental office in North Olmsted, OH. Rough mechanicals are currently going in and we are excited to work with Dr. Megan and Craig Bruns from Benco Dental to bring this office to life. Meet Brent Schrock, President of Stark Development - Ohio: With more than 30 years in construction, Brent’s passion for building started early — working summers for a local mason at just 14 years old. After earning his Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University, he built experience across both residential and commercial construction, including leadership roles with JOANN Fabrics and Crafts corporate construction.
Today, Brent leads estimating, bidding, contracting, and project completion at Stark Development, bringing a steady leadership style centered on honest communication, strong relationships, and delivering quality results from start to finish.
Outside of work, Brent enjoys hunting, golfing, traveling, cheering on his kids at sporting events, and serving through his church and mission trips with family and church groups.

Meet Mike Sommers, President of Stark Development - North Carolina.

With 34 years in construction, Mike’s journey started as a framing carpenter before founding Stark Development in 1999. What began in framing evolved into commercial construction in 2004, built on a foundation of trust, relationships, and doing things the right way.
Having framed more than 250 homes and built countless commercial projects, Mike believes the true measure of success isn’t just the projects completed — it’s the long-term relationships built along the way. His people-first approach, commitment to quality, and passion for serving clients continue to shape the culture at Stark Development today.

Outside of work, you’ll find Mike building projects of his own, traveling, hiking, camping, spending time with family, and serving others through local ministries and organizations.
