We are so happy for sophomore fellow, Micah, for being accepted into the Emerging Scholars Academy at NC State this summer. Micah will have the chance to experience campus life, attend classes, and discuss cultural identifications and concerns of African American students.

Attention African American high school guys and parents! NC State College of Education is hosting a screening of My Masculinity Helps, a short film that explores the role of men and boys in sexual violence prevention and response on May 25th (4-6pm) at the Talley Center. Dr. Marc A. Grimmett, executive producer and co-director, and an associate professor of counselor education at the NC State College of Education, will lead a discussion about the film after the screening. There will be pizza and refreshments provided at the screening.
