I’m thrilled to share some wonderful news! 🎉

The filing period for the 2026 election closed on December 19, and I’m honored to announce that I will be on the ballot next November with no opposition. This means I have the privilege of continuing to serve the citizens of Wake County as a District Court Judge for another five years.

I am deeply grateful for the trust, encouragement, and support I continue to receive from this community. Serving as your judge is truly an honor, and I remain committed to approaching every case with integrity, fairness, and respect for all who come before the court.

As we look ahead, I encourage everyone to stay engaged and informed about our judicial system and the important role it plays in our everyday lives. Please be sure to vote in the upcoming primary in March and later in the November general election. There are many important races on the ballot, including critical judicial elections.

🗣️ I am honored to announce that I have filed for reelection as District Court Judge for Wake County, District 10D, Seat 3. Serving the people of Wake County has been a privilege, and I remain committed to upholding the law with fairness, integrity, and respect for all who come before the court.

I was originally appointed to this seat by former Governor Roy Cooper, and since that time I have worked diligently to ensure that our courts reflect the highest standards of justice. My focus has been on treating every individual with dignity, applying the law consistently, and maintaining the trust of our community.

As I seek reelection, I look forward to continuing this important work and building on the progress we have made together. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the confidence placed in me, and I humbly ask for the support of the citizens of Wake County in the upcoming election.

As a District Court Judge, I’m committed to keeping our communities safe while also ensuring that everyone who comes before the court is treated with fairness, dignity, and compassion. Too often, we see how unmet mental health needs play a role in the challenges our youth face and our system doesn’t always have the tools or resources to fully respond.

That is why I was honored to join the NC Child Youth Advocacy Council in Raleigh on August 2nd. These incredible high school leaders, from across North Carolina, are taking bold steps to elevate youth mental health as a priority and advocate for solutions that reflect their lived experiences.

I was grateful for the chance to speak about the importance of using your voice and advocating for one another. The passion and commitment of these young advocates give me hope for the future.

Gov. Cooper wants you to know that you can’t be denied a chance to vote if you don’t have a valid photo ID—you might just need to fill out an exception form.
