.india.nc is the oldest Indian restaurant in Raleigh, NC, offering vegetarian, meat, and vegan dishes. Royal India has won numerous awards for their dining and catering services. Royal India prepares many dishes in a traditional Indian clay-oven called Tandoor, which include tandoori meat and vegetable dishes, Naan breads, and more! People can taste a wide-selection of dishes through Royal India's lunch platters offered Mondays - Saturdays.

Description of dishes we tried:

Butter Chicken: Boneless Tandoori chicken cooked in a rich creamy sauce with fresh tomato and a combination of delicate spices.

Chicken Curry: A very traditional poultry dish prepared in a spicy curry sauce of ground onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes and other seasonings.

Palak Paneer: Fresh homemade cheese cooked in a creamy spinach sauce.

Gulab Jamun: Reduced milk balls served in rose flavored sugar syrup and cardamon.

Additional popular dishes include:

Goat Masala: Baby goat meat cooked in a traditional North Indian style with onions and tomatoes.

Daal Makhani: Simmered black lentils and red kidney beans sautéed with tomatoes, ginger, cumin, onions and fresh garlic.

Regarding the victim of the recent major crime in Cary...

Her name was Cecily Ann Walker. She was 34 years old, and weeks away from celebrating her 35th.

I'm posting her photo here, because the media hasn't. If you Google her (which I know I'm not the only person to do), your first impression of her will likely be a mug shot tied to a misdemeanor crime. I don't know the rest of her record, but I'm not here to question the decisions she's made in life. I do know her mug shot shows this is not the first time she's been the victim of physical violence.

The news articles share her name and nothing more. They don't share anything about her, that I've seen. Which is a shame, because they've even taken the time to reach out to the ex spouse of the man charged with disposing of her in the most brutal of ways. I feel like if she was a middle class, married women with a squeaky clean record her story would be everywhere. Instead, we just read her name.

I didn't know her, but given the details it was important that I see a normal photo of her. She was someone's daughter. A mother of two children. A widow. A waitress. She enjoyed the outdoors.

Her name was Cecily Ann Walker. I'm saddened for her and her family, but thankful she will never be physically harmed by someone again.

Lastly - this group occasionally sees posts of people "speaking up" instead of "minding their own business". I hope the neighbor who called about the illegal burn is on this group because to them I'd like to say, thank you for not minding your own business and making that call.
