Fun place in Wilmington NC!

The Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden is amazing to browse through. Seeing live carnivorous plants--such a treat! And learning about them was interesting.

We went in February so you can see that there are not thousands of them so spring would be better; however, I was thrilled to find some popping out.

Yes, dog friendly; however, do not allow your dog's to stomp or p*e on these one-of-a-kind treasures.

Phoenix was not impressed anyways 😉.

Truly a gem! New Hanover County Arboretum in Wilmington NC.

Phoenix had a great time strolling these beautiful gardens. Very peaceful. Plenty of places to sit at and relax. Fun to explore. Well worth the trip.

Dogs are allowed in the gift shop as well.

Other than the gift shop, it's all outdoors.

Dog-friendly in Wilmington NC!

We were thrilled to find this dog-friendly restaurant right on the marina. Beautiful, relaxing view.

Yes, Phoenix was most happy too 🙂.

By the way, don't rely on restaurant hours listed on their Google page during off season. Call restaurants directly to make sure what days they are open.

Plenty of space in the patio as well as tucking your dog in just in case some customers are weary of dogs. We want to keep these restaurants dog-friendly with good manners!

Besides the great view, our waitress was personable and friendly.

And most thrilling to me was that their house made veggie burger was amazing! This is unheard of in a seafood restaurant so this vegetarian thanks you from the bottom of her heart.

Tight spaces so your pooch must be people and dog friendly.

Phoenix and I got to relax while enjoying our frappucino, which was great by the way (Ms Picky over here).

Phoenix was appropriately concerned with Darth Vader's lightsaber 😉.

Met another doggie patreon keeping mom company while she worked ❤️.

Phoenix and I browsed through Historic Wilmington.

Found Bijoux Park. If you blink you'll miss it. That's the dog statue pic. I hope that after the construction is over, they will clean it up. It's tiny but could be charming with some care.

While strolling with my pups, I have them sit to cross roads, sit at top of stairs, sit by statues and gnomes lol, sit while I take pics. All great practice while exploring.
We also jump on rocks, benches, etc. for fun and mental stimulation.

Really enjoyed the architecture and the library yard was a nice surprise.

My Phoenix enjoyed hanging out :)

We went in February so not too busy in the street. I imagine on-season is busy with pedestrians so protect your pooch accordingly. Very clean.

Partially shaded for hot days, just watch where the sun is. Not much protection for rainy days.

Hubby reports that the beer was amazing. They are known for their nachos. For us vegetarians, the salad was fresh and delicious.
