WE SHOW UP. Affordable housing is on the line in our city. Tomorrow at 1:00pm, the Raleigh City Council will meet to discuss and vote on the affordable housing bond. We need YOU to be present, so that we may apply holy pressure for them to allocate as much of the 200 million dollar bond to affordable housing.
Tuesday, 5/19 at 1:00pm at the Raleigh City Council Chamber.

SER\T’s Leadership Team gathered for their second meeting of the year! Leaders shared updates and did some holy brainstorming about how we might deepen our relationship with our community and Southeast Raleigh.

📕 BOOK CLUB: Unmasking Autism (by Dr. Devon Price) with our Director of Families with Children, Becky Blanco and co-facilitator, Dr. Watters will be leading us in a discussion about neurodivergence!
Dr. Devon Price brilliantly shares about his experience with masking, research on neurodivergence, as well as exercises that encourage self-expression in this book.
While reading the book is not required, we do recommend purchasing a copy from our friends at down the street!

ONE WAKE ACTION. Join us and other member institutions of ONE Wake on Saturday, April 11th at 11:00am at Baptist Grove! We’ve pushing and organizing for affordable housing in Raleigh. A vote on a 200 million dollar bond is coming up and we need every single dollar to go toward securing affordable housing.
The beauty of organizing is that there is something for everyone to do. Showing up and being in the room builds power. Liberating power moves and shakes our systems for the better.

EASTER MONDAY. Staff will be out of office today. We love you and are grateful we were able to celebrate Easter with you, in person and virtually!
We’ll return to our normal office hours on Tuesday and worship on Sunday, April 12th at 11:00am.

HOLY WEEK AT SER\T. The days between Palm + Passion Sunday and Easter are full of powerful moments for contemplation and worship in community.
As is our tradition, we are joining our siblings at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church () for their Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services.
We look forward to seeing you and anticipating the resurrection.
PASTOR’S NOTE: As we near the end of the forty days of Lent, we recognize that we near the the beginning of other holy markers of time - Palm and Passion Sunday and Holy Week - and the close of Women’s History Month. Joy and sorrow are co-mingled over the course of these days.
