Another assignment done! They had us learn part of "Killing Me Softly With His Song", then freestyle at the end. This was a fun song to learn. It helped that I absolutely love the song as well.

I never really enjoyed going to school until I attended These assignments are so much fun.

Wrote this in C Major Mixolydian, 3/4 time signature. The focus was to make sure the tonal center (I chord) is established, and to add careful placements of the cadence chords in between. The tonal center is repeated in order for the ear to identify and accept, then you dance around it. It's the chord you will hear the most often. You will often hear Mixolydian in this typical style for films in this setting.
