It has been two months since we closed the shop and we are slowly stepping back in. Our webstore at www.liquidstateraleigh.com is open and will continue to expand. We currently have coffee and teas, and Liquid State swag available for order. Additionally we are excited to feature local art on our webstore. In our former brick and mortar, we donated wall space to local artists. The rotating art infused the space with new energy every few months and we are happy to continue to support local art in our virtual space. It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that we are closing our doors. Our lease was up and we were unable to secure an agreeable renewal. Our last latte will be served this Sunday, April 26th.

Even though our physical shop will be closed, our webstore will be revamped with artwork, merchandise, drinks, and other unique offerings for delivery and shipment. And once the pandemic subsides, we will reevaluate our options. In the interim, we will pupate and metamorphosize in the new season.

Liquid State was intended as a love letter to the city that is our home. When we opened five years ago, we wanted to capture the essence of the Raleigh community: Easy going, friendly, and experimental. We also wanted to do our part to help revitalize Hillsborough Street by creating a gathering place where ‘all are welcomed.’ By all accounts, our goals were achieved. We will miss our regulars and all of those who shared a smile, but the friendships and opportunities that were fostered will continue to mature. With social distancing, it is unfortunate that we have to say goodbye in this way. But, we want to acknowledge and thank our past and current team for cultivating a welcoming space and animating the Liquid State of mind. We are grateful for the experience and the opportunity to serve our neighbors. Take care and thanks again.
