Here is a pattern I have noticed across hundreds of product-based businesses.

The ones who stay stuck are almost always selling in a model with a built-in ceiling. One sale at a time. One customer at a time. New audience needed every single time.

This week on She Sells Differently, I break down why the hustle model has a ceiling and what it actually takes to build past it.

Comment "HUSTLE" and I'll send you a link to the episode.

Most makers aren’t stuck on wholesale because they lack information about retail buyers.

They’re stuck because they’re in a loop that feels like progress but isn’t.

Confidence with retail buyers doesn’t come from information. It comes from action.

AI shopping isn't coming. It's here.

800 million ChatGPT users. One-click checkout. Integrations with Etsy, Shopify, Amazon.

The brands showing up in those AI recommendations aren't the ones with the biggest ad budgets or the most followers. They're the ones with press features- gift guide mentions, roundups, editorial coverage- that give AI something credible to pull from.

No press? Then AI has nothing to cite. You're invisible to a generation of buyers who never open Google.

This isn't a trend to watch. It's a distribution channel that already exists, and most small product brands aren't in it yet.
PR expert Gloria Chou broke down exactly how to fix that on this week's She Sells Differently episode. Link in bio, and you don't want to miss this one!

The math most product sellers are missing:
10 affiliate partners × 1,000 followers each = 10,000 new potential buyers.

Affiliate programs account for 8–12% of revenue for product sellers who commit to them. One client with products priced between $9.99–$24.99 brings in $6,000/month from just 45 affiliates.

The strategy is not complicated. It is underused. Most people think they need hundreds of affiliates before it’s worth starting. You do not. You need 10. You probably already know who they are.

What if the business you’re trying to build doesn’t need more of your time, it
needs more of your clarity?

I’m thinking about the version of you who has a business that is working.
Not grinding.
Not hustling.
Working.

Where Tuesdays feel spacious.
Where you’re present with your kids, or your friends, or your own creative energy, without the guilt of something undone hanging over you.

That version of you isn’t doing more. She’s doing the right things. And she decided what “enough” looks like for her week.

This week’s She Sells Differently podcast episode is a conversation with someone living that version out. Six kids, a thriving business, 20 hours a week. She’s not special. She just made a decision and built backward from it.

Go listen. And then ask yourself: what decision are you waiting to make?

We've rejected hustle culture out loud. But we're still living it in private.

I think about this a lot. We all nod along when someone says "sustainable pace" and "work-life integration." And then we apologize for leaving early, work through dinner, and feel guilty about a slow week.

My guest this week, Gillian Perkins, made an observation that stuck: it's a lot like diet culture. People reject the label while quietly carrying the belief.

We say we don't believe that more hours = more success. But when things aren't growing, the first instinct is to work more. Not think differently — just do more.

What if the move isn't more effort but better questions?

New episode of She Sells Differently is live. Worth a listen if you've been catching yourself in that pattern.

What does hustle culture look like in your business when nobody's watching? Genuinely curious.
