A huge thank you to our St. Raphael Catholic School & Preschool Guardians in the Community who recently helped make our campus more beautiful! 🌟

They organized our lost and found bin, straightened up the hymnals in our Sanctuary, and painted river rocks for the meditation trail behind our Columbarium, and recently joined the Caring Ministry to place those rocks along the trail. Along the way they also learned more about the trees in Joan Gulledge Park!

¡Muchísimas gracias a nuestros «Guardian in the Community» de Escuela Católica San Rafael que recientemente ayudaron a embellecer nuestro campus! 🌟

Organizaron el área de objetos perdidos, ordenaron los himnarios en nuestro santuario, pintaron piedras para el sendero de meditación situado detrás de nuestro columbario y, hace poco, se unieron al Caring Ministry para colocar dichas piedras a lo largo del camino. ¡De paso, también aprendieron más sobre los árboles del parque Joan Gulledge!

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a long time devotion of the Society of Jesus. For the Jesuits, the Sacred Heart represents God's vulnerable, passionate love for humanity, rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius.

As we journey through this month, we invite you to visit the Sacred Heart altar in our atrium and reflect on how God's love isn't just something we receive—it's something we are called to live each day: loving and serving in all things.

El mes de junio está dedicado al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, una devoción de larga tradición en la Compañía de Jesús. Para los jesuitas, el Sagrado Corazón representa el amor vulnerable y apasionado de Dios por la humanidad, arraigado en los Ejercicios Espirituales de San Ignacio.

Mientras recorremos este mes, le invitamos a visitar el altar del Sagrado Corazón en nuestro atrio y a reflexionar sobre cómo el amor de Dios no es solo algo que recibimos, sino algo que estamos llamados a vivir cada día: amando y sirviendo en todo.

To accompany his calls for peace in the world, Pope Leo XIV will lead the prayer of the Holy Rosary today at 7:00 PM Rome time (1:00 pm Eastern time) from the Vatican Gardens. All people throughout the world are invited to join him in praying the rosary at that time.

Papa León XIV rezará el Santo Rosario en la Gruta de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, en los Jardines Vaticanos, hoy a las 7:00 pm hora de Roma (1:00 pm hora del Este). Se invita a todas las personas de todo el mundo a unirse a él en el rezo del rosario a esa hora.

To accompany his constant calls for peace in the world, Pope Leo XIV will lead the prayer of the Holy Rosary on May 30 at 7:00 PM Rome time from the Vatican Gardens.

He will lead the faithful in Shrines around the world in praying the Joyful Mysteries, with each decade being dedicated specifically for those affected by war and violence and entrusting them to the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace.

The first mystery prays for the victims of war, especially the most vulnerable, while the second is for those who bring words of hope and the comfort of faith to populations affected by war. The third recalls the medical and paramedical personnel and volunteers who bring humanitarian aid every day.

The fourth mystery prays for those who suffer the violence of war, for prisoners and for all who endure humiliations that violate human dignity. The fifth and final Joyful Mystery is dedicated to praying for an end to war and the establishment of lasting peace in the world.
