It’s officially getting Nutty.. show #11 of 18 tonight. Merry Gigmas my friends! Enjoy the holiday and I’ll catch up with you on the flip side… after Santa brings me some rest! 😁
Tambourine cam! See if you can figure out which Ballet I’m performing in this week - the theme in the last two seconds will give it away! (I record myself occasionally to hear if my ex*****on is the way I want it. I’ve played this three different ways and will make the final decision in our first performance tomorrow night!)
All-District is coming up this weekend and it’s time to brag on my students a little bit. I’m proud to say this year every student in my studio who auditioned for All-District made the band and several are All-State eligible. If you’re at the concert this Saturday you’ll get to hear them in action!

Gorgeous weather. Nice venue. Excited to be performing in the Opera pops concert tonight! 🙂
Seiji Ozawa was not only a great conductor but also a nice person (which goes a long way in my book). And you may not know, he loved baseball! I remember playing a pickup game with him on the grounds at Tanglewood and he brought quite a game! RIP Maestro.

I’m excited to be playing in a sold-out show with the NC Opera this afternoon. Here’s a pic of my sistro set-up for all you opera geeks out there. (There is great debate surrounding Rossini’s Barber of Seville sistro part. I’m happy to add my two cents to it now. 🙂)
