Fudgey chocolate cake filled with pistachio goodness, but bite size !

Playing around a bit. Pistachio is the trend right now so seeing what else I like it with. Crunch is also trending so decided to pair it. This is a double chocolate brownie with a toasted shredded fillo dough ( not katafi/ Kenaffa dough) and pistachio cream center. Topped with a dark chocolate and pistachio cream glaze.
It was rich and decadent for sure. However it left me still looking for crunch that also delivers the pistachio cream taste profile, so on to round two in my games , lol.
Think I’ll try a TikTok inspired pistachio crunch brownie. Stay tuned !

So, I did a thing. The “ Dubia chocolate “ filling but in a brown butter chocolate chip cookie! Soft cookie exterior meets a surprise crunchy middle. The pistachio flavor is subtle but the crunch is there. I chose to just drizzle a little pistachio butter on top versus dipping in chocolate, wanted to maintain the integrity of the cookie itself. This was a nice sweet treat and paired so well with a hot cup of cinnamon tea, channeling fall vibes 🍂. Little hands couldn’t resist either 🤗.

So , I’m over the bar. It’s good , don’t get me wrong- but like I said before I’m not a chocolatier. Also, candy bars don’t read cozy inviting dessert with a hot cup of joe and company.
I do love the combo of katafi dough and different creams ( so far pistachio and biscoff). So…This is a happy medium for me , the “dubia Kenaffa chocolate” TART. The combination of a buttery crust, toasted katafi mixed with cream of choice and topped with a milk and/ or dark chocolate makes for the perfect bite. This is a coffee and tea pairing. This is a Kenaffa desserts item!
I really like how cute and bite size these turned out. Perfect for the dessert table , hostess gift or freezer!
