Charlotte Barroso Vega

CDL-B Student – Began class December, 2021

Charlotte learned about our program from her Uncle who completed the CDL course and received his license in November, 2021. She is interested in getting her commercial driver’s license because she knows that industry is booming right now and there are lots of opportunities for growth. Once she has her license she plans to drive for a few years to get some experience, and then begin pursuing her goal of developing a career in logistics.

Charlotte rarely misses a class and knows that asking the right questions will yield the best results. She is learning that she’s capable of doing hard things, and resonates with this quote that she saw in the break room at the school: “Make time to celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how big or how small.”

Student Success Story! Ragaee is originally from Egypt and served in the Egyptian Armed Forces. During his time in our program, he worked driving a cab at the airport and for Uber, overcame a language barrier, and supported his family. His bills were piling up but he knew there was a career in his future once he received his HVAC certifications. He worked hard, had perfect attendance, and passed all of his certification tests. Ragaee is now employed as a “Service Technician, Refrigeration and Appliance Repair” with Transformco with full benefits.

We offer a comprehensive HVAC program to prepare students for entry-level jobs in the field. Students earn employment-ready certifications in areas of:
Gas Heat
Basic Refrigeration
Electrical Charging Procedures
Electrical (Required for entry-level HVAC jobs)

Student Success Story! One of our students, Mr. Washington, was looking for a career which would allow him to learn, grow and excel into entrepreneurship. While in our drone program, he received the Top Gun Award, excelled in career readiness, developed a resume, and was able to secure full time employment with a local staffing agency as a forklift operator.

This summer he earned his FAA Part 107 certification with a final exam score of 97%! He has secured reliable transportation, is working to repair his credit, and signed a new lease for an affordable housing unit.

We are proud of Mr. Washington and all of our students who work so hard to overcome barriers and develop skills for a new career path.

Supporting veterans in their journey following their enlistment is an honor. We are dedicated to helping these servant leaders create a new career pathway and overcome barriers to independence whether that is through one of our programs or as an instructor of our programs. We work with our students 1:1 to remove barriers to employment, and provide up to 12 months of support to ensure job retention. Our workforce development institute helps students prepare for interviews and life with a career pathway.
