Behind every beautiful loaf at Ajja is a great dad — and a whole lot of flour.

This Father’s Day, we’re raising a toast to Aron, the baker behind the bread our guests know and love.

Aron joined the Ajja team just a few months after we opened and has been baking our signature “tear and eat” bread (along with our gluten-free loaves) ever since.
Each loaf starts with a blend of Carolina Ground, King Arthur, and semolina flours. The dough is proofed for 48 hours, shaped by hand, and finished with a dusting of Turkish coarse semolina for added texture. We bake dozens of loaves every day, serving them alongside mezze and throughout the menu.

When he’s not making bread, Aron’s favorite thing about being a dad is simple: having fun together.

We first opened our doors on June 17, 2023, and the community we’ve gathered under our roof since that night has been nothing short of incredible. From day one, you’ve filled our space with laughter, connection, and unforgettable memories.

Today, we’re celebrating 3 amazing years, and we couldn’t have done it without you. To our guests, staff, farmers, purveyors, and this incredible neighborhood!

To mark the occasion, we’re excited to debut our brand-new Boat Bar this Father’s Day! There’s no better excuse to bring Dad by for a drink and a celebration.

And yes—you read that correctly. We converted a speedboat into a bar, and it now lives on the lawn behind the patio. 🛥️

Come raise a glass, grab some snacks, enjoy live music, celebrate with us, and be among the first to experience our newest space. Plus, it’s Father’s Day—so bring the whole family.

Lebanese Squash Sfiha

Layers of flavor start with our soft flatbread, topped with tender squash, roasted tomato vinaigrette, fresh parsley, fried currants, leeks, and kohlrabi. The perfect balance of sweet, bright, and savory.

It’s the debut of our backyard patio Boat Bar! Stop by and check out our new outdoor bar made from a beautiful 1987 ski boat. Enjoy some Summer vibes with Ajja snacks, drinks and live music from two bands that performed at this years Great Cover Up: One After 919 (a rooftop Beatles set) and The Strangers (playing some Kinks hits!). June 21st 2:00, music starts at 2:30!

When tells us he’s about to harvest some gorgeous heirloom beets, we get inspired! Braised and ghee charred beets, cucumbers and beet ribs- both pickled, mast-o-khiar and some lightly cured blackberries from the farmers market. This is our favorite time of year and the weather is made for Ajja!
