Tuesday, June 16, we're welcoming back art model Alexandra at The Portal HQ . Join us for an evening of casual figure drawing in a supportive community, no art experience needed! We provide supplies, or bring your own. Doors open at 7:00, she'll be posing from 7:30 to 9:30. $12 cover.

Join us this Tuesday, May 26th for an evening of casual figure drawing at with model Mysto! Doors open at 7:00, Mysto will be posing from 7:30 to 9:30. No experience needed, we have supplies you can use, or bring your own. $12 cover.

In difficult times the LGBTQ+ community has always expressed itself through art.  As times get tough, we choose to not lose hope and keep fighting for our rights.  This June for pride we are exhibiting art that exemplifies that hope through our pride. Whatever Hope or Pride means to you, come out and show off your art in support of the LGBTQ+ community in our non-juried uncensored space. 

Do you have art you want to show, but don't think it fits the theme? No problem, we'd be happy to display it anyway! We're a community gallery that wants to make showing your work as easy as possible. No fees, no commission, sell or don't, show whatever you want.

The human form has been a source of inspiration and exploration for as long as people have been making art. This fascination is stronger than ever, as evidenced by the many figure drawing events held weekly throughout the area, our own Drink and Draw included. We feel like this theme is worth revisiting, and are excited to announce our fourth annual "Figured Out" exhibit! Come see the variety of interpretations of the human body from 30 local artists. From classic technique to more challenging experimental approaches, CoLab encourages you to come celebrate the human form with us this month.

And also on this First Friday, we have a live DJ - Jvrgon who will provide some wild Riddim beats! Plus, you can express your human form on our collaborative painting! CoLab also hosts the amazing Five Dollar Sketch Wall- a novel way to build your art collection (even if you're broke) and help support CoLab at the same time, thanks to generous donations from our artists!
