Another set of In Memory weavings going out today. A close friend of a close friend gone too soon, but I feel like I got to know her just by making these. Pumpkin tshirts, 90s neon windbreakers, Ohio State sweatshirts – these are extra special.

My sister-in-law asked me to make a weaving for her grandparents that live on Maui and to have the weaving look like a Hawaiian sunset 🌅 she even gave me some yarn to use that her grandma spun herself. That yarn she gave me was purple and we know how I feel about purple 🫠 but she knew I could incorporate it and I love how this really mimics the colors of a sunset – even with the fluffy seafoam along the edges. And now I want to go back to Hawaii ☀️

I’m finally weaving in the new house !! House projects have taken over my life and I’ll admit that I enjoy them so I’m not complaining, but I did finally make my first weaving in my new studio which FINALLY got organized if you were following along with my organizing struggles via insta stories. I’ve felt guilty for not working the last 2 months (packing all of January, unpacking most of February) but my new friend at the hardware store in town (I go pretty much every day) told me that of course I’m working, just not in a creative way. And I needed to hear that. Anyway, here’s my first piece made in the new house and it’s for a friend’s first-born’s nursery 🥹 which is such a treat for my first IG-made weaving! If you feel inclined, call me during the day this week to make sure that I’m weaving working and not painting/ordering furniture/organizing the house working lol thx

We’re seeing all of his family and PLUS my parents made last-minute plans to join us in Columbus so I’m super excited to be with them this weekend.
