TJT had an amazing opportunity to volunteer at the Tammy Lynn Center on Thursday November 11th and Friday November 12th. We helped to remove wall paper and spread mulch as part of their needed campus improvements. TJT staff also recorded virtual Storytime readings on Friday November 5th and Monday November 8th to send to TLC’s heroes.

The Tammy Lynn Center’s (TLC) mission is to empower individuals of all abilities to live their fullest life. They started in 1969 from the hope of parents to improve the options for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. TLC began as a “Mom’s Morning Out” in the basement of a church in Cary, NC. From their humble beginnings, they continued to grow and expand, moving from the church to their current location on Chappell Drive, where they now offer a range of services providing opportunities for those with disabilities to be a part of their community.

Our TJT Wilmington office had the pleasure of participating in the paws4people Veteran’s Day 5K race on November 7, 2021. Our TJT 5K team included Jamie May, Max McKinley, Wilson Hicks, Waylon Ashburn, Maggie Ashburn, and Diesel the dog. Our staff had a fantastic time running in this event and supporting this worthwhile organization!

The paws4people foundation is a non-profit organization that trains customized Assistance Dogs, and educates and empowers individuals to utilize Assistance Dogs as a way to transform their lives. Representatives from this amazing organization brought dogs in training and spoke at our annual TJT management retreat at Wrightsville Beach. We are also proud to serve them as a TJT client.
