4) Quality of Life
5) Safety

The Town of Apex scored in the 99th percentile with a total score of 68.78 putting it in the number 12 spot. It ranked No. 28 for Affordability; No. 5 for Economic Health; No. 280 for Education & Health; No. 674 for Quality of Life; and No. 126 for Safety.

Four other Triangle cities and towns ranked in the 150 on the list to include: Holly Springs, Wake Forest, Morrisville, and Fuquay Varina.

The Triangle real estate market has seen some ups and downs this year, especially with the effect of fluctuating interest rates.

In Sept, the Triangle saw 3,554 new listings, which is down 11.5% from last year's number. The average sales price is up 2.6% from $454k in 2022 to $467k in 2023. The average days on market is still relatively low at 23 days and we're still trending at only 2.1 months supply, which is unchanged from this time last year.

The bottom line, you ask? We don't have enough supply to meet the growing number of people moving to the Triangle. Experts say a balanced market has at least 4-6 months supply of inventory. Despite fluctuating rates, the average home price is still increasing YOY.
