Becoming a grandparent has been one of the sweetest blessings of my life.

These afternoons caring for my daughter’s baby boy have filled my days with pure joy and love I can’t even put into words.

Watching him grow, seeing my daughter as a mom—it all feels like life coming full circle. So grateful for every little moment. 💕

This week has been a time for joy and introspection, and I can’t help but smile as I reminisce about “the journey.” ⁠

We’re celebrating a decade of teaching, training, and being a part of the wonderful Fit4Life of Raeford Gym family—definitely a reason to celebrate! ⁠

When I embarked on this journey, I had no clue just how much happiness, energy, and motivation it would bring to my life. ⁠
⁠
Throughout these years, I’ve had the honor of training some truly amazing individuals. Being in this military town means that many faces have come and gone, but with each new group, my squad has consistently shown unwavering determination, embraced every challenge, and supported one another, pushing their limits beyond what they imagined possible. It has been incredibly rewarding to witness each participant develop strength—not only physically but also in confidence and spirit—while forming lasting friendships along the way.⁠

I am profoundly grateful for every class, laughter shared, sweat dropped, and milestone we’ve celebrated together. This journey is more than just physical workouts—it’s about community, motivation, and constructing something that uplifts us all. ⁠

To my past and current students—thank you sincerely. You all inspire my passion for this work, and I couldn’t ask for anything more from each of you. ⁠

Its true 🥺...The days are long but the years are OH SO SHORT…..

I don’t know how this is even possible…...... but my baby girl is turning 30 today and just two weeks away from welcoming her own little miracle into this world! 😮

Other than how fast the time went, Im NOT complaining....it’s exactly what I’ve prayed for and I'm so grateful and feel so blessed 🙏…… her dreams are becoming reality before our eyes, and it's been heart-warming to witness!!

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! 💖 Yesterday, we celebrated the upcoming arrival of our first grandbaby, Brixton Rhett, with a beautiful shower for Danielle and Cody. The outpouring of love and support from our friends and family, both near and far, has left us speechless.

In just one year, my daughter and son-in-law have weathered deployments, supported each other’s dreams, and achieved more than many do in a lifetime. They’ve shown that while it may “take a village,” sometimes all you need is one person who believes in you unconditionally….
You know I love interior design – and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree here – I’m SO impressed that while her husband was away, Dani took on the project of remodeling a bachelor’s pad into a fresh modern -farm house family home, with the looks of a project straight out of HGTV series and after he got home converted the spare room into a nursery, ditching and switching all harmful products from the home and setting up an organization system that will make both their lives easier ALL before stepping her foot into corporate America as she begins her career!!
Cody didn’t miss a beat – while it was near impossible for him to put in the hours he had hoped while deployed as soon as he returned he hit the books double time in order to complete his degree early and start sending out resumes – which he accomplished both landing a dream job that he is so excited for as well as walking the stage TODAY in Virginia receiving his diploma!!
Through the toughest times, when the weight of the world felt too heavy to share, they leaned on each other. They’ve faced challenges head-on, celebrated victories (big and small), and come out stronger on the other side.
Watching them grow individually and as a couple fills my heart with joy and pride. They truly embody what it means to be . Here’s to many more years of love, support, and incredible achievements! 🎉💕

"When does old age begin?"
Old age doesn't always begin at 60. Not even at 70. For some it begins at 45 or maybe even 35. Paradoxical, isn't it? Look around you and you will see so many women who are still young in years, but who have aged early. And other women who are old, but with youth abounding in their playful eyes.
Know that it is not the silver on your head that defines old age. And not the increased number of wrinkles. Not even the appearance of your walking stick. No! Old age comes when your soul says: "I'm tired".
You grow old when you no longer believe that you are worthy of love. When you consider yourself not beautiful enough to be admired on the street, when you don't feel like looking in the mirror one more time, when you respond to a compliment with: "But that's nonsense... you're exaggerating".
Your old age begins when interesting things tire you, when you have no interest in learning, watching, or hearing anything new. When the entertainment of young people irritates you, the crying of a child on a trolley bus gives you headaches, when you prefer loneliness more than communication. When maybe the first gray hairs and the first wrinkles are just starting to appear, but your heart has long been withered, without strength. When you too often say "I don't want to" and too rarely make plans and draw dreams.
You grow old when you have managed to accumulate in your experience too many disappointments, falls, pains, and... each time you feel that getting up from the bottom is getting harder and harder. When you find refuge in your home and don't feel like going outside. When you mourn more often and rarely find reasons to rejoice and be grateful to God, people, life, yourself.
There is no lower limit to old age. For some, old age begins at 80, for others at 40.”
