Week 3 of summer pitching camp was very fun! The girls were very competitive with rock paper scissors, learned a lot of different leg drive drills, and worked on throwing strikes with water balloons and sponge balls! This group is a ton of fun, we can’t wait to see them again next week! 💪🏼🥎💜

Introducing our May HEART Player of the Month, LuElla! Lu has been working hard and consistently to correct some mechanics. Her accuracy and speed have improved and she’s getting more confident each day! Keep trusting the process Lu!! 💜💪🏼🥎

Our first session of Summer Pitching Camp was a success! The weather was perfect, the girls were engaged and so much fun to work with! We worked on various ways to do our warm ups, talked about having reset phrases and our strengths, watched a little of the World Series and finished with some competitions! Introducing our April HEART Player of the Month, Kinley! This girl put in some WORK over the past couple of months and looks like a totally different pitcher. She used the balance beam daily as well as the power drive to work on getting more out of her legs and to stay taller and maintain good posture and balance! The hard work is really paying off and I can’t wait to see her in action this summer! Stay focused and keep having fun Kin! 💜💪🏼🥎

Monday was a treat! I got to watch Addy and Berlin defeat Liberty in District Semis and then Addy and I went over and watched Kendall and Maria play with their Thunder team. Addy worked with Kendall when I was out having Sammy, and they formed a great bond! Seeing my older lesson girls mentor my younger ones is so special! So very proud of both of these girls! 💜💜💜

Huge congratulations to freshman, Ashlyn Greathouse for reaching 100 strikeouts so far this season for Big Walnut JV! Way to go Ash, keep working hard! 🔥👏🏼💪🏼🥎💜

Looking forward to another summer full of 🥎! Our Summer Pitching Camp is back for a 5 week session on Tuesday mornings in June! If you need to miss one or two, but still want to come we can prorate the cost!

We will have a handful of experienced high school pitchers helping run the camp. We will focus on a variety of drills, competitions, situations and becoming a great leader and teammate!

Congratulations to the one senior this year that I’ve worked with off and on since I moved here almost 6 years ago! Evelyn started coming to me in August of 2020 to work on pitching. After a few years in, she decided to focus on hitting and fielding instead, and we kept working together on her swing. Evelyn is a very talented hitter and always knows what she needs to work on. I was just able to provide her a safe space to rebuild her confidence. She has helped me with some hitting camps the past few summers and is currently catching and hitting well for Hayes during her senior season. Evelyn plans to attend Ashland University in the fall to major in dietetics. I’m so proud of you Ev, and always cheering you on in everything you do! 💜💪🏼🥎

Shoutout to the best husband for helping me get the OG batting cage from my high school days up for the 5th season! Not perfect, but getting better every year. This year we leveled the gravel beside the barn and added a third piece of turf. So excited to help girls build skills, and more importantly, confidence this season! 💜💪🏼🥎
