We were pleased to host representatives from V Systems, Industrial Water Solutions, and Massey Johnson Associates at Marlo Incorporated last week for technical training on a variety of water treatment applications.

Training sessions included classroom instruction, hands-on training aids, and discussion around equipment operation, system design, troubleshooting, service procedures, and application-specific water treatment solutions. Each session was tailored to cover the equipment, processes, and field scenarios most relevant to our customers’ businesses and experience levels.

Since launching our intern program in 2016, Marlo has been proud to provide students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, contribute to real business initiatives, and work alongside our teams across the organization.

Dual Train Reverse Osmosis System for a power plant. Each train can independently produce 100-GPM for a total of 200 gpm under peak demand. Key features include Grundfos vertical high pressure pumps, Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC/HMI Panel, Motor Control Panel including Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), 304 Stainless Steel and Sch 80 PVC Pipework, Low Quality Divert to Drain, and UL Listed NEMA-4 Electrical Enclosures. Fully skid mounted, pre-piped, pre-wired and factory tested.

★This Week at MARLO★
TEAM MARLO laced up their sneakers to support the Annual MKE Run4Water event on Sunday, April 26!

Proceeds from the event support Engineers Without Borders at UW-Milwaukee (EWB@UWM) water projects in Guatemala. The group was established in 2007 and has successfully designed and built 17 water distribution and treatment systems. Funds raised from this event will go toward building the 18th project in 2027. Each water system not only helps remote villages in Guatemala access water, but it also helps our students become global citizens, promotes cultural awareness, and provides an opportunity for engineering students to experience a project from start to finish while gaining invaluable experience.

Duplex Water Softener Skid for the Central Utility Plant (CUP) at a Pulp & Paper Mill. Key features include 72” diameter epoxy-lined, ASME Code Stamped carbon steel pressure vessels, electric-actuated butterfly control valves, welded carbon steel pipework with 4” flanged service headers, and Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC/HMI control panel. Alternating flow configuration with 1-Vessel Online/1-Vessel Standby. Fully skid mounted, pre-piped, pre-wired and factory tested. Bulk brinemaker silo and brine pump skid provided but not shown.

We completed factory testing for a 125-GPM Two-Pass Reverse Osmosis (RO) Skid to provide highly purified water to feed a final polishing step through Electro-Deionization (EDI) at an electronic device manufacturing facility. Two-Pass designs are essentially two (2) RO systems in series with the final product water going through the membrane twice. The reject water from the 2nd pass is recovered as feed to the 1st pass to improve the overall recovery.
Key features include a Grundfos vertical high pressure pumps, Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC/HMI Panel, Motor Control Panel including Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), 304 Stainless Steel Pipwork, and UL Listed NEMA-4 Electrical Enclosures.
