Hi everyone! We are trying to get our followers over to the account for our new play area opening in St. Francis Taxi and Tide

We are currently in the process of building/remodeling, and hope to open in February. We will offer open play, birthday parties, events, workshops and after school programs for kids up to age 10.

We sold Nest on 4/1/22, and it has been changed to Playspace Racine. You can follow the new owners here: Playspace Racine. They offer drop-in play with no reservation required at both their Racine and Kenosha locations. www.visitplayspace.com

Here is what our layout will look like at the new building, and examples of what we will have in each of the play areas.

I think I am most excited to see what happens on that stage! We can have "open mic night" where kids tell jokes, they can put on plays, have a fashion show, or dance in front of an audience.

Before we get started on construction in a few weeks, is there anything else you'd like to see? We would love to hear any ideas you have!

Taxi and Tide will have a NY themed play area and a Cali themed play area. NYC will be ready for dress up and creative open-ended play. Instead of a rack with dress up clothes, we will have a "boutique" full of fancy clothing for kids to wear. Children can pretend to work at the boutique and help others find the perfect outfit for a night on the town.
Get dressed up, grab some "dinner" at the fancy restaurant, then head to the theater for some entertainment, or show off your best dance moves in colorful lights!
Kids will be provided all the tools they need to set up a play restaurant, work together as a team on tasks, put on performances, and more. We want it to be just as fun for the parents as it will be for their kids, and can't wait to see families spending quality time together and making memories.

Here are some play food items and the kitchen set that we have purchased for the play restaurant. Haven't seen them in a while, but I'm sure they're there somewhere in the room in our house packed floor to ceiling with toys.

More inspo The California side is going to have beach vibes & colorful murals and will be geared toward babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. We will have unique wooden toys, custom built houses, educational toys + more! 🌊

Some inspiration for Taxi and Tide. You have no idea how packed our house is with toys right now... 😬 I'd better make more room because a box of these colorful capes will be coming this week.

Here is where our new space, Taxi and Tide, will be located.
The owners of Polonez Restaurant have been amazing to work with. They have been patient with each delay (there have been many, and this process has not been easy!)
I'm so happy this has worked out for both of us, and we are excited to start working on the space soon.
Closing is set for 9/30, but we do have one more city council meeting on the 6th regarding parking. Wish us luck, and please follow our new page.

By the way, Polonoz makes the most delicious pierogis! Get there if you can before the 25th.

We plan to have a play "fancy restaurant" for kids to play work at, and have picked out some pierogi art as a little tribute. They have been at this location for 40 years, and will be missed.
