The parade is coming together

It was an exciting day as we dedicated the new playground at Lakeview Park. My grandson, Kai, helped cut the ribbon.

Join us tomorrow, Sunday, June 7, at 1 p.m. as we celebrate the opening of the new playground at Lakeview Park, 201 Goold Street.

The new playground replaces equipment that served families for more than 25 years and features inclusive play opportunities, music and STEM elements, climbing structures, slides, swings, shade structures, and the first artificial turf playground surface in the City of Racine, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department system.

This project was selected as part of Mayor Cory Mason's America 250 initiative and reflects our commitment to investing in parks, neighborhoods, and opportunities for children of all ages and abilities.

A public parking lot is conveniently located 1 ½ blocks from the playground at the northeast corner of N Wisconsin Street and Walton Avenue. Free street parking is also available on neighboring streets throughout the area.
