A little over a week ago, Racine County Human Services proudly kicked off the 6th year of the Racine County Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)!
Over the years, SYEP has connected hundreds of local youth with meaningful employment opportunities, helping them build valuable skills, gain confidence and create connections that serve as stepping stones toward future success. We are excited to continue this important work and build on the program's lasting impact.
A special thank you to Gateway Technical College for hosting this year's orientation, our guest speakers for inspiring participants as they begin their journey, our generous sponsors, Racine Unified Schools and Karen Goodwin and her dedicated team for continuing to make this outstanding program possible year after year.
We look forward to another successful summer filled with growth, opportunity and achievement for our youth! π

This Father's Day, we celebrate the fathers, father figures, and non-custodial parents who show up, persevere, and make a difference in their children's lives every day.
At Racine County, we believe strong fathers build strong families.
Through the ELEVATE Program, non-custodial parents receive coaching, mentorship, employment support, and encouragement to overcome obstacles and stay connected to their children. Every success story is a reminder that when we invest in parents, we invest in our community's future.
Today, we honor the dads who keep trying, keep growing, and keep showing up - because fatherhood isn't about being perfect; it's about being present.
And we're committed to supporting fathers year-round through opportunities that foster connection, growth, and community:
