Zig and Zag mock-up on RAM Exterior
On Friday, July 24, 2026, at Sew ‘n’ Save, join artist Amanda Browder for a Community Sewing Day! Attendees will help her craft Zig and Zag, an upcoming large-scale fabric installation that will premiere as a featured project in RAM’s inaugural In/Between Festival, September 18 – 27, 2026.
From professional seamstresses and amateur sewists to those with no sewing experience, individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the creation of this collective project that will adorn the exterior of RAM. Each Sewing Day is a perfect opportunity to come and connect with creatives throughout the community—whether you come for an hour or stay all day!

This chart is a Quilt Size Guide that helps match quilt types to their typical finished dimensions in inches. It’s organized in two main columns: quilt name/use on the left and approximate size ranges on the right.
The guide starts with very small quilts like micro, doll, preemie, and bassinet quilts, commonly used for babies, car seats, strollers, and security blankets. It then moves into baby, toddler, and lap quilts, showing sizes suitable for cribs, wheelchairs, and throws.
Larger entries cover bed quilts, including twin, full/double, queen, king, and California king, with ranges that account for different mattress depths and desired drop on the sides. Decorative and specialty items such as wall hangings, table runners, Euro pillows, and mini-quilts are also included.
The chart notes that sizes are approximate and may vary by pattern or maker, and it also lists custom, RV/boat, and international size variations. Overall, it’s a quick reference tool for choosing or planning the right quilt size for any purpose.
The guild’s June meeting will be Phyllis Stengel who will be talking about Gelli painting—it is fun and addictive! You can do it on paper or fabric. Imagine the possibilities!. This is not a meeting to miss! 6:30 pm, June 29, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Racine, WI
