What happened to the playground at Lakeview Park?

Work is underway on installing new playground equipment. Phase 1 was included in the budget and hopefully, we can raise additional monies to expand upon it.

As for the trees that were recently removed, they were ash trees that needed to go. However, landscaping will be done, and I've been told new trees will be planted.

Open Seat Alert: The Republican incumbent in Senate District 21 just announced he won’t seek reelection.

This is now an open seat in one of the most competitive districts in Wisconsin, a district where Democrats up and down the ballot have won by an average margin of 1%.

This is our chance to flip SD-21 and move Wisconsin one step closer to a Democratic majority that focuses on the needs of working families. I need your help to show strength and spread the positive message of this campaign dedicated to the issues that matter most.

I’m asking you directly: will you make a donation today to help us seize this open-seat opportunity and win in November?

If you’re ready to help us seize this moment, pitch in here: secure.actblue.com/donate/trevor-jung-1

After thoughtful review of this year’s plans and projected costs, the Racine Neighborhood Watch Board of Directors has made the decision to pause our 2026 Take a Taste Out of Crime fundraiser.

This step was taken with careful stewardship in mind, allowing us to dedicate our time and resources to the programs that have the greatest direct impact in the Racine community.

Our work continues every day — strengthening Block Watch groups, providing crime prevention and safety education, supporting Apartment and Business Watch efforts, and expanding access to free mediation services to help resolve conflicts before they escalate.

We are deeply grateful for the sponsors, donors, attendees, volunteers, and community partners who have stood with this event over the years. Your commitment strengthens neighborhoods and reinforces our shared dedication to community safety.

Together, we remain committed to building safe, friendly, and vibrant neighborhoods throughout the Racine community.
