A Versatile skirt provides you with lots of looks’

This silver pleated skirt was a sale purchase recently. When you buy something new make sure you try it on with what you have in your closet. I wasn’t amazed how many different looks I got with the skirt and belt with a beautiful red, pink and gray geometric print blouse. Then I added several jackets and a sweater with the belt. Do you have a favorite look?

Rediscovering this vest was fun! What do you have in your closet that you haven’t worn lately. I never really loved this vest until now because I didn’t have anything that looked fabulous under it!

Weather here has been extremely cold hovering under 10 degrees. Sunday I decided to wear one of my favorite blue colors, periwinkle. I had a great pair of shoes to wear with the outfit so I just wore the shoes without hosiery and froze. Usually I find it advantageous, to save time and frustration, to try everything on In advance. When I got home I did put on some tights in a neutral muted color and I think they work great with the outfit because they are in the same color value. So next time you are in a quandary about what to wear with something remember to look for something in a similar value to the garment you want to wear. Actually I did that with the darker blue jacket and was surprised how nicely the skirt and jacket looked together.

Old favorite skirt, rediscovered in my wardrobe. Sometimes a new piece, my surplus teal top, gives me an idea to put together something in a different way. As I realized my, leather teal jacket, would be a great addition to the blouse and skirt. My challenge was what to do with the ties when I wanted to wear the jacket open. By playing with the ties I discovered that by tying the ties together underneath the jacket instead of on top it gave the illusion of being open. Which styled outfit is your favorite?

Warm up your winter wardrobe with Red!

Love the red, pink and wine sweater duster. When I put this color on I feel warm and beautiful in it! It has given my wardrobe a color lift this December. Even rediscovered a red cotton top just waiting to be worn with the sweater. Which is your favorite red look? Do you have a red that brightens your day?
