Running for a county wide seat on the Port has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my life. It was exhausting, emotional, and intense.

While I’m disappointed not to be moving onto the general election I am also at peace knowing we ran a strong campaign. As a first time candidate, I was deeply humbled by this journey. I’ve learned so much, not just about myself but also the complexities of public service.

This experience has pushed me to reflect on my values. It’s tested my resilience and stretched my limits which ultimately has made me a better person. I have a profound respect for anyone who chooses to run for public office.

To my phenomenal supporters, THANK YOU!! Your financial contributions, time, engagement, and belief in me means the world.  To my family, friends, and the many new friends I’ve made along the way, your unconditional love and support have moved me more than words can express.

Yesterday, I attended the お盆 (Bon Odori) Festival in Tacoma! It was so great to see many friends, including my host brother Munehisa from Okayama Japan. Don't forget to get those ballots in!
