Potholes are formed when ice seeps into small cracks, freezes, and then expands. The more these cracks are disturbed, the more they'll chip away at the road. That's why the roads might seem a bit bumpier after the winter months.

For simple projects, a five-dollar bag of mix from the hardware store will suffice. For larger projects, you can try adding a plasticizer, which helps the concrete mix flow into a mold easier.
