BJH Photography
I am a landscape and portrait photographer who hopes to bring joy with each image I post My name is Brandon Henrie.
I grew up in Puyallup, Washington and have shown an interest in camera work since I was little. I graduated from Seattle Central in 2012 with a two year degree after taking one of the most rigorous film programs in Washington State. Near the end of college, I took an interest in photography after purchasing a Canon 7d camera. I am a very particular photographer, using little to no editing on image

Just watching out the widow provided such amazing views! I could have circled here for hours and never got tired of the surreal landscapes!

As we come to the end of the Iceland journey, I have 2 little bonus pictures from the plane to post this week. We got to fly over Greenland during a large chunk of our flight home, and man that might be the next place I have to go shoot pictures! It is beautiful!

Just down the road from Skogafoss is a small trail that leads to this beautiful, less visited, waterfall. This is Kvernufoss, and in the probably 40 minutes it took us to hike in and back out, we saw sun, rain, hail, and snow! It was definitely the strangest weather I've ever experienced on a hike in my life! But thankfully, we got the sun to come out just long enough to let me capture this beautiful rainbow in front of the falls!

After our black sand beach adventure, we started the drive back to Reykjavik but still made some stops along the way. This is Skogafoss, one of the more famous waterfalls in Iceland and it was packed with people! That being said, I definitely wish we had gotten here earlier because my framing choices were quite limited. But I think this shot still came out quite nicely despite the people and the rain.

Now this photo looks beautiful and sunny right!? Well not one minute after taking this shot, a freak hailstorm hit us and forced us to run back to the car to avoid getting pelted and soaked by pretty large hailstones! Thankfully, we were mostly dressed for the weather; the same can't be said for the poor couple doing a wedding photoshoot right down the beach!

Okay friends, we are to our last day shooting in Iceland! But fear not! I still have a couple great shots to show you. We spent the night in Vik, and for those of you unaware, Vik is home to the famous black sand beach! We got out early to get some shooting here, but the Icelandic weather had other plans for us, as you will see in the difference in the sky I captured in the next photo I will post of this great beach.

Fjorargjufur has a trail that follows the rim for further than I was willing to go so late in the day! But the little I did hike was like traveling into Middle Earth!

On our drive from the Glacier Lagoon we made one last stop before reaching Vik. This is the beginning of Fjorargjufur Canyon. It stretches for miles and has a decidedly different look than most canyons I'm used to seeing.

After our quick pit stop at the lagoon we headed back towards Reykjavik, but we stopped along the way to hike these amazing falls. this is Svartifoss!

This place is amazing in how it looks so different just 12 hours later!

After our ice cave tour we stopped by the lagoon one more time in the daylight.

Sadly we only had 2 short hours in this amazing place, but I definitely want to go back and explore another cave!
