Fridays are always full of fun and laughter thanks to our amazing Activity Coordinator, Jennifer! 🎉
Bingo is one of our residents’ favorite Friday activities, and last week we had a full table of enthusiastic players ready to test their luck and enjoy some friendly competition. While prizes are always exciting, the true reward is the joy that fills the room—shared laughter, smiling faces, meaningful connections, and wonderful memories made together.
We can't wait to see another full table on our next Bingo day!

How do older adults stay strong or regain mobility? For many, therapy is a preferred route.
Rehabilitation is not limited to hospitals or nursing homes. Many senior living communities now offer on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy that supports recovery, strength, and confidence.
If you’re comparing senior rehab options for a loved one, our latest blog explains how therapy works in senior living and why it may be a more comfortable choice.

On June 4th, the Connections residents at The Rivers celebrated National Cheese Day with a delicious cheese-tasting experience, featuring a beautiful cheese platter prepared by our Culinary Team. Residents enjoyed sampling a variety of cheeses while having fun guessing each type.
Adding to the celebration, our wonderful Connections Care Coordinator, Miss Elaine, shared fascinating facts about the cheese-making process and discussed which countries are best known for producing some of the world's favorite cheeses. It was an engaging afternoon filled with learning, laughter, and tasty treats!
A special thank you to our Culinary Team and Miss Elaine for making National Cheese Day such a memorable event for our residents.

For the month of May, we partnered with Puget Sound Home Health and Hospice to host a grief and loss support group titled "A Space for Healing – Support, Reflection, and Shared Understanding."
Over the past several months, our Rivers family has experienced the loss of several wonderful and cherished residents who touched the lives of many. This support group provided a safe and compassionate space for residents, families, and team members to come together, share memories, express emotions, and find comfort in one another.
Grief can often feel overwhelming, but healing becomes easier when we know we are not alone. Support groups offer valuable opportunities to connect with others who understand similar experiences, helping to reduce feelings of isolation while fostering hope, resilience, and emotional well-being. The support we receive from our community can be just as meaningful as the support from family and friends, reminding us that we are surrounded by people who care.
We are grateful to Puget Sound Home Health and Hospice for helping create this space for healing and connection.
