CODE4Five is seeking for self-motivated, experienced and exceptional OASIS Review and Coding Specialists who will be responsible for analyzing data integrity and consistency of OASIS documentation and assessment processes using the latest ICD-10 coding guidelines as well as liaising with the clinical staff. This is a great opportunity for independent contractors as it is a flexible, work-from-home position. You should be ready to take up the following challenges:

Ensures comprehensive accuracy as well as compliance with federal, state regulations and organization policy when reviewing any given OASIS assessments
Utilizes accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing relating to the patient’s medical condition including co-morbidities
Implements professional coordination and team-player skills in resolving data integrity issues with clinicians as per the organization’s procedures.
Evaluates visit utilization for accuracy of care guidelines and patient condition
Notifies the agency’s Director of Nursing on potential financial losses and/or underutilization
Advises the company’s Managing Director on erratic trends in OASIS audits
Effectively keeps up with the latest trend on medical billing and coding through workshops, trainings and publications
Must Haves:

Graduate of accredited schools and BSN, PT, OT and ST preferred
1-2 years of experience of home health OASIS review and coding experience
OASIS certification (COS-C) preferred and/or OASIS Home health ICD-10 coding certification
Knowledge of federal regulations and state licensure
Significant experience on using the EMR application Homecare Homebase
Proficiency in completing high volume no. of charts (minimum of 30-40 charts per week)
Relevant background in reviewing 485 Orders
Superb computer, software and typing skills
Good balance of a team player and an independent worker with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and organization skills
Thorough attention to details
