What’s on your roof? Often times on a roof, small shortcuts can mean big problems! Roof accessories are a big deal for the longevity of a water tight roof. The pipe boot on the left is a cheap option and won’t last the lifetime of your basic 30 year roof. The pipe boot pictured left is made of a synthetic material which does not hold up to the harsh elements of the PNW. Most often they warp and crack and cause many water damage issues we see inside out homes. We use the pipe boot pictured on the right.
