The Evergreen Chapter has been serving music educators in western Washington and the greater Seattle/Puget Sound area since 1976. We are a professional organization of music and movement educators dedicated to the creative teaching approach developed by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. We are joined by our belief that learning about music - learning to sing and play, to hear and understand, to move and create - should be an active and joyful experience.

One week ago we had our first Members Only workshop! We were a small but mighty group, learning some basic maintenance and repairs to keep our instrumentariums in tiptop shape! We also got to play a little music together to finish off the day. Thanks to everyone who came to play and learn with us!
Who doesn’t love Mortimer by Robert Munsch? Our Members Only Workshop was educational and we had plenty of time to explore different ways to use barred instruments in the classroom!
