Most of us read to our kids when they’re little and can’t read on their own, but there is seriously something so special and beneficial about reading to them even as they get older. I have no plans of stopping this even when they’re teens. Taking 20 minutes out of our busy days to just cuddle up on the couch and have me read to them is something I will always cherish.

So my challenge is for you to pick a book (Pax is a GREAT option) and read it to your kids this summer. Our next read-aloud is The Wild Robot. What’s yours? 🥰

My word of the year is Preparation so in keeping with that, I have simplified our summer by preparing the meal plan for ALL of the kids’ breakfasts and lunches 😍 I also made a list of all the groceries we need to have on hand to make these items each week. I laminated it so I can cross out things we already have before placing our grocery order! This is going to make summer meals SO much easier 😍 (Anthony and I usually eat leftovers from dinner the previous night or whatever we prepped over the weekend).
