Puyallup HS Pool
Puyallup High School Pool was constructed in 1963. It was dedicated to Harry Hansen in 1989 making it also known by the name Harry Hansen Pool.
Puyallup High School Pool continues to serve its community teaching water safety through swimming lessons both to the general public and to high school students; provide family and lap swim opportunities; offer water aerobic classes; support high school swimming and water polo teams; and instruct American Red Cross courses.
The pool is now closed until late spring of 2027 for HVAC, dehumidifier and plumbing upgrades.
Due to staffing shortages from the pending maintenance pool closure on May 28, 2026, the last aqua aerobics class has been cancelled (May 5-May 28). Our apologies for the inconveniences.
At the March 13, 2026, school board study session, the Puyallup High School pool was removed from the list of proposed budget reductions. Instead, the pool will be closed this summer for improvements and will reopen in the fall for school and community use.
