Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

At ARCHway Institute, we recognize that recovery, hope, and opportunity should be accessible to everyone. Juneteenth reminds us that true freedom is not only about breaking chains of the past but also about creating pathways to healing, dignity, and a brighter future for all.

As we celebrate this important day, we reflect on the strength of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to building communities where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Happy Juneteenth from all of us at ARCHway Institute.

🔥 Igniting HOPE: Stefanie Robinson 🔥

For Stefanie Robinson, NPRA Ohio Affiliate Director, recovery means freedom.

“Recovery means no longer being defined by my past, my mistakes, or my circumstances. Recovery gave me my life back. It allowed me to become the mother, leader, friend, and person I was always meant to be. Recovery isn’t just about not using substances. It’s about healing, growing, and finding purpose.”

Stefanie believes in recovering out loud because people need hope. When she first entered recovery, she needed to see real people who had overcome the challenges she was facing and were living proof that recovery was possible.

By sharing her story, Stefanie helps break down stigma, build community, and remind others that they are not alone. Every story shared has the power to inspire someone else to believe that recovery is possible for them too.

What drives her work today is remembering where she came from and the life-changing opportunities recovery provided. She is passionate about helping others reconnect with their families, find stability, discover purpose, and begin believing in themselves again.

“There is no greater privilege than walking alongside someone as they rebuild their life and realize they are capable of more than they ever imagined.”

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on the unique challenges many men face and to remind them that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Too often, men are taught to stay silent about their struggles. The result can be devastating. Men account for nearly 80% of su***de deaths in the United States and are significantly less likely to seek mental health treatment than women. (Huron Daily Tribune)

For our military members and veterans, the challenges can be even greater. According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 6,398 veterans died by su***de in 2023, with rates remaining especially high among younger veterans. (VA News)

At ARCHway, we believe recovery, healing, and hope begin with connection. This month, take a moment to check in on the men in your life. A conversation, a phone call, or simply letting someone know they are not alone can make all the difference.

Mental health matters. Veterans matter. Men matter.

Recovery is the lifeblood of my existence. There was a time when I felt dead inside, but through recovery I found purpose, connection, and a full life worth living. Recovery gave me more than healing—it gave me hope.

One of the greatest gifts I received on this journey has been the opportunity to serve as a recovery leader and advocate. The love, trust, hope, encouragement, and support that were freely given to me by my mentors and recovery community changed my life. Because of that, I believe it is my responsibility to give back what was so generously shared with me.

Today, my motivation is rooted in guiding and encouraging those who have benefited from the foundational values of peer support. I want future generations of peer supporters and advocates to carry forward the purity, integrity, and standards that make peer support uniquely powerful. By preserving these values, we ensure that hope continues to reach those who need it most.

As part of ARCHway's Inspiring HOPE Campaign, I share my story as a reminder that recovery is possible, lives can be transformed, and each of us has the ability to make a difference in the lives of others.
