I’ve found myself speaking on our gym culture lately.
is an integral part of our team and culture.

Is he a professional fighter? No
ADCC world champion? No

Driver and example setter for excellence or the pursuit of excellence and just being an all around BMF? YES

Today I watched him throw up 380lbs on RAW bench press like it was a warm up. Which would set a national record for his weight and age. This only 2 months post MAJOR injury. So no leg drive.

He sets a tone and standard.
He sets and holds an expectation of a lifelong commitment to the pursuit of excellence and being a BMF.

Proud of you and lucky to have guys like you around brother.

Man… I kept it together through this one, but barely.

This young man is often much more like a son to me than anything else (fighter, student, friend, etc.). We’ve been on this journey for well over a decade w/ all the ups and downs that come with life.
